Museo de Arte de Ponce. The Luis A. Ferré Foundation, Inc.

The Museo de Arte de Ponce houses an important collection of nineteenth-century paintings and sculptures from the European and American schools. The conflict between traditional and modernity, characteristic of this period, is reflected in the ample variety of styles and artistic approaches, from Prud’hon’s revolutionary aesthetic to Moureau’s symbolism, passing by great personalities such as Sorolla, Doré, Sargent and Francisco Oller.
