Not on viewDescriptionShown in a luxurious bourgeois interior, the woman in the picture is dressed in an expensive gown of shiny and smooth blue satin rimmed with soft white fur. She stands by a piano adorned with an elaborate silver drapery and a vase of flowers that seem to blend in with her headpiece. The Japanese fan she holds and the mirrors, tiger pelts and oriental rugs that decorate the room create an effect of exotic opulence. Her sensual dress, her languorous attitude and the decadent ambience suggest that she may be a mistress surrounded by her lover’s lavish presents.
