DescriptionLike most of his works from the 1990s, Rafael Trelles made this painting using the decalcomania technique. Unlike other artists who, employing decalcomania, transfer a still-fresh medium onto another surface using paper or another material as a tool, Trelles applies color directly to the surface. With a rough fabric, he then presses the wet color onto the canvas, producing random shapes that serve as a base for further elaboration. Therefore, the artist completes paintings in decalcomania without having a fixed idea of the final result in terms of form and topic
