DescriptionAbstract human figure in blackened clay with bronze additions. Allina works with the human figure, in counterpoint with everyday objects, as a kind of commentary on the world of women. The eruption of El Armero volcano in 1985 is the origin of this expressionist work. The mutilated body, blackened by the reduction, evokes the pain and suffering of her people.
