DescriptionDuring family vacations, the artist enjoyed spending time with his family in Adjuntas and Barranquitas, two small towns in the mountains north of Ponce, known for their cool climate. Pou painted this portrait of his only son, Jaime, during one of these summer vacations. In the portrait, Pou depicts him riding a horse against a majestic sky and mountainous terrain. The artist skillfully captures the natural beauty of Puerto Rico by emphasizing the environment's luminosity and the landscape's vibrant colors.
