Not on viewDescriptionRepresentations of saints in pairs are typically found on the side panels of altarpieces. Here, Saint James is shown on the left holding a pilgrim's staff and dressed with palmette motifs, while Saint John the Evangelist holds a chalice to the right. This painting has been attributed to Andalusian painters Gonzalo Díaz and Nicolás Carlos on account of its resemblance to a similar work by the two artists in a parish church in Cádiz.
