DescriptionTriptych for folding altarpiece, (smaller version - Venturi). All figures are half-length. Center is Madonna and Child, with Christ giving a blessing in a small triangle panel above. At viewer’s left is St. John the Baptist, wearing his animal skin & carrying reed cross. At viewer’s right is St. Peter carrying the keys to the Kingdom and the book of the Gospels. Both side panels are topped by an angel in triangular panels.
