BiographyBorn in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He studied at the school of architecture at the Universidad de Puerto Rico. In 1978, he moved to Chicago where he attended the Art Institute. Her work has been exhibited extensively across the United States and Latin America and some of the locations for his individual exhibitions include the Museo de Ponce in Puerto Rico in 1984, the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo in Monterrey in 1993. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in 1987, the 1987 Sao Paulo Biennial, and the Latin American Artists of the Twentieth Century in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., among other institutions. Roche-Rabell has been the recipient of many awards, including the James Nelson Raymon Traveling Fellowship of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1982.
